On July 8-10, leaders of the G-8 countries -Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States - will meet in Italy. Their meeting comes with less than six years until the 2015 deadline for meeting the Millennium Development Goals, as a mounting economic crisis threatens to reverse the progress that has been made so far. The UN Millennium Campaign and Al Jazeera English are hosting online debates. We'd like to hear from you: what would you would like world leaders at the G-8 to do at the summit in order to get back on track towards achieving the Goals?

About the Campaign
The UN Millennium Campaign was established by the UN Secretary General in 2002. The Campaign supports citizens' efforts to hold their governments to account for the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. The Millennium Development Goals were adopted by 189 world leaders from the north and south, as part of the Millennium Declaration which was signed in 2000. These leaders agreed to eradicate extreme poverty and its root causes by 2015. Our premise is simple: we are the first generation that can end poverty and we refuse to miss this opportunity. A Meditation for Your Self-Reflection

To worship God means to serve Him. There are two ways to do it. One way is to do things for Him that He needs done - run errands for Him, carry messages for Him, fight on his side, feed his lambs, and so on. The other way is to do things for Him that you need to do - sing songs for Him, create beautiful things for Him, give up things for Him, tell Him what is on your mind and in your heart, in general rejoice in Him and make a fool of yourself for Him the way lovers have always made fools of themselves for the one they love...Unless there is an element of joy and foolishness in the proceedings, the time would be better spent doing something useful.

Take 5 minutes out of your busy day and be still. Take a moment to stop and simply listen to the rhythm of your breathing. For a few moments let go of the burdens that weigh heavy upon our shoulders. The ongoing daily practice of prayer and communion with Jesus will over time lessen those burdens and render them powerless over our lives.
